Pond Hardware and Parts
Whether you are in the planning stages of a water feature or looking for help with an existing pond, we have the supplies to get the job done right. WATER GARDEN PLANTS
There are many different types of plants for your water garden each offering benefits in their own way. Anacharis and hornwort oxygenate your pond while water lettuce and hyacinth provide cover for your fish and block the sun to keep the water clear. Potted plants called marginals live in shallow water on the edges of the pond and provide color and texture as well as acting like living filters keeping the water clean. Tilley’s also offers a large selection of lotus plants of many sizes and colors adding an exotic touch to your waterscape.
Water Lillies
Water lilies are a beautiful addition to any water garden. Although most varieties require full sun (6 hrs. a day), there are some that will tolerate some shade and still perform beautifully. Our selection of water lilies includes many sizes and colors for small and large ponds. We even offer tropical varieties that bloom into the night for a fragrant starlit show.
POND FISH AND AQUATIC LIFE
One of the most enjoyable parts of water gardening is introducing life into the eco system. As plants are an important part of the pond, fish, tadpoles, and snails are equally as valuable in that they provide nutrition for the plant life and control insects. Koi grow to be big beautiful fish that become accustomed to your visits to the pond and many times can be trained to eat from your hand.

Pond treatments vary from additives to make municipal water safe for fish, algae control, and beneficial bacteria essential to the ecosystem. Our goal is to help you maintain a balanced environment, but sometimes nature needs a little help, and our knowledgeable staff will recommend the right product for your needs. In addition to that, our finned family members like to snack when you come to visit them, so we offer a variety of different foods to help them grow and stay healthy and colorful.
POND AND LAKE MANAGEMENT
Many homes in this area have natural or “earth bottom” ponds on the property that require care on a larger scale. Tilley’s has a line of products and the knowledge to address these needs and help keep these attractive and healthy for all the wildlife in and around the pond. We also offer aerations systems and fountains to add to the health and beauty of these natural ecosystems.
